Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Update and Preparation of the project Environment and Social Management system (ESMS) for the 4.5MW Small Hydropower Project

Atacama Consulting conducted Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) update studies for a hydropower dam development in Madaba District, Ruvuma Region, Southwestern Tanzania. The project is a run-of-the-river small hydroelectric power facility designed to generate 4.5MW of electricity. The ESIA update was undertaken to ensure alignment and compliance with lender’s requirements, specifically, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards (PS).
