A major oil and gas project in Uganda anticipated that its construction, commissioning, and operation would generate various waste streams in varying quantities. The waste would require appropriate handling, treatment, transportation, and recycling/reuse/repurposing and or disposal.
Atacama Consulting was contracted to conduct a Waste Management Capability Review study that entailed identifying and reviewing the capacity of local, regional, and national waste management contractors, and facilities to manage the different kinds of waste resulting from the Project. The firm also contributed to the revision of the project’s Waste Management Strategy.
