The UAIA Conference will be held from 24th – 26th April, 2019 at Hotel Africana in Kampala, Uganda, East Africa.
It will feature keynote speeches from seasoned environmental practitioners and policy makers such as: Ass. Prof. Bitondo Dieudonnéan of the Universities of Dschang and Douala in Cameroon. He is also the deputy chair of the Capacity Development and Linkages for Environmental Assessment in Africa (CLEAA) and the Executive secretary of the Secretariat for Environmental Assessment in Central Africa (SEEAC) and of the Cameroon Association for the Environmental Assessment (ACAMEE);
Maj General Benon B Biraaro a retired Ugandan military officer of Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) who found medicine for Unemployment through his foundation known as Local Investment for Transformation (LIFT); and Ass. Prof. Hussein Sosovele of the Institute of Resource Assessment (IRA), University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. He is the current Chairman of the – Capacity Development and Linkages for Environmental Assessment in Africa (CLEAA) a Pan-African capacity development program and also manages the office of the Eastern Africa Association for Impact Assessment (EAAIA).
